Buriram United : From ‘Thai Premier League’ to ‘AFC Champions League’

Buriram United is the 3rd generation of the fantastic professional football story of Thailand and purpose to lead its team of ‘Thunder Castle’s knights’ to the excellent footstep in Thai Premier League and higher in AFC Champions League.

Buriram United is the just one football club in the professional football record of Thailand which acquired triple championships in a season and only Three years in arena in the name of ‘Buriram’, Buriram United has created the record in the professional football of Thailand once again by achieving 6 championships.

In season of 2010, the first year in the name of Buriram PEA, it achieved double first runner-up of Thai Premier League and Toyota League Cup.

The best achievement was in the season of 2011, the impressive of all championships in the record of Thailand when Buriram PEA taken 3 championships in a season – the Thai Premier League,the Thaicom FA Cup and Toyota League Cup – as its honourable record.

In 2012, Buriram PEA was changed to Buriram United and began the season by defeating a big team of Japan – Vegalta Sendai – in Toyota Premier Cup, and followed by J-League championship and China Super League championship which are the championships of AFC Champions League. This can make all eyes in Asian football group catching on Buriram United in the state of an serious club from Thailand. Buriram United ended the season by re-grabbing the championships of Toyota League Cup and Thaicom FA Cup which gave the right to the team to consecutively represent Thailand in AFC Champions League 2013 for second year.
